Many wheels these days have a non standard lug nut called a wheel lock which can be an effective deterrent to tire and wheel theft. This
can be an effective way to help protect your wheels and tires from theft. Wheel locks replace one lug nut on each wheel with a unique locking nut that requires a special key for removal. This added security can help deter thieves and provide peace of mind.
It’s Important to Bring Your Wheel Lock Key When You Come To Change Your Tires
Because wheel locks require a unique key, our technicians cannot remove your wheels if the key is not available. Unfortunately, many customers are unsure where their wheel lock key is stored, which can cause delays during seasonal tire changes and other wheel-related services.
Our New Wheel Lock Key Procedure
To help ensure your appointment runs smoothly, we ask all customers with wheel locks to place their wheel lock key in the centre console before bringing their vehicle in for service.
When you arrive for your seasonal tire change, simply let our service advisor know that the key is located in the centre console. This allows our technicians to access it quickly and safely when needed.
Tire Storage Customers Procedure
If Access Automotive stores your seasonal tires, we can also store your wheel lock key for you. Keeping the key with your stored tire set helps eliminate the risk of it being misplaced and ensures it is readily available for future tire change appointments.
If you’re unsure whether your vehicle has wheel locks or need assistance locating your wheel lock key, our team would be happy to help.
Thank you for helping us keep your service experience efficient and hassle-free!
